Tianjin Binhai International Airport (TSN)

Located about 25 km east of the conference venue. Offers both domestic and international flights and serves as an important aviation hub in northern China. Is well connected to the city via metro, airport shuttle buses, and taxis.

Use the Metro (Subway)
Guidance:
  1. Board Line 2 Start at the Tianjin Binhai International Airport subway station and board Metro Line 2.
  2. Transfer at Jingjiang Road Ride Line 2 until you reach Jingjiang Road Station (靖江路). Get off here to transfer.
  3. Switch to Line 5 At Jingjiang Road, transfer to Metro Line 5.
  4. Arrive at Tianjin Hotel Station Ride Line 5 and get off at Tianjinbinguan (Tianjin Hotel) Station.
  5. Walk to the Hotel The Renaissance Tianjin Lakeview Hotel is practically next door. It is just a short 230-meter walk (about 3-5 minutes) from the station.

Guidance:

Step 1: Download the DiDi App

  1. Download DiDi from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
  2. International users can use the English version of the app.
  3. Register with your mobile number and add a payment method (international credit cards are generally supported).

Step 2: Book a Ride

  1. After arrival, follow signs to the Taxi / Ride-Hailing Pick-up Area at the airport.
  2. Open the DiDi app and set your destination as “Renaissance Tianjin Lakeview  Hotel” (you can also paste the Chinese: 万丽天津宾馆).
  3. Confirm your pick-up location at the airport terminal.
  4. Choose your preferred vehicle type (e.g., Express or Premier) and confirm the booking.

Step 3: Meet Your Driver

  1. Follow the app instructions to locate your driver at the designated pick-up point.
  2. You can contact the driver via in-app chat or call (translation tools are available).

Estimated travel time: 30–45 minutes (depending on traffic)

Tip: Screenshots of your destination in Chinese can be helpful if communication is needed.

Use the Airport Shuttle Bus
Guidance:
  1. Board the Shuttle Head to Gate 2 at the Domestic Arrivals exit of the airport. Look for the Airport Shuttle Bus heading to Tianjin Railway Station (天津站).
  2. Ride to the City Center The bus departs roughly every 30 minutes. The ticket costs ¥10, and the ride takes about 30 to 40 minutes depending on city traffic.
  3. Transfer to a Taxi (Recommended) Once you arrive at Tianjin Railway Station, the easiest way to finish your journey is to catch a taxi. Show the driver the hotel name and address in Chinese: 万丽天津宾馆 (河西区宾水道16号). The taxi ride from the station to the hotel takes about 15–20 minutes and will cost around ¥20–¥30.

Estimated travel time: 60–90 minutes depending on traffic

Tip: It is helpful to have the destination name written in Chinese: “万丽天津宾馆”.

Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX)

Located about 110 km west-north of the conference venue. Offers both domestic and international flights and serves as an important aviation hub in northern China. Is well connected to the city via metro, airport shuttle buses, and taxis.

Use the Railway + Metro (Subway)

Guidance:

1. Daxing Airport to Beijing Fengtai Station (Metro)

  • Daxing Airport Express: From the airport terminal, board the Daxing Airport Express.
  • Transfer at Caoqiao: Ride to Caoqiao Station. Here, transfer to Beijing Subway Line 10 (Inner Loop).
  • Arrive at Fengtai: Take Line 10 to Beijing Fengtai Railway Station. This total leg takes about 35–40 minutes.

2. Beijing Fengtai to Tianjin (High-Speed Train)

  • Boarding: Purchase a high-speed rail ticket bound for Tianjin West Station (Tianjinxi) or Tianjin Railway Station.
  • Duration: The train ride typically takes between 30 and 45 minutes depending on the specific service.

3. Tianjin Station to the Hotel (Metro)

  • From Tianjin Railway Station: Board Metro Line 3 towards Nanzhan. Transfer at Yingkoudao Station to Line 1, then transfer again at Xi’nanyuan to Line 5. Alternatively, from Tianjin West, take Line 6 and transfer to Line 5.
  • Arrival Station: Get off at Tianjinbinguan (Tianjin Hotel) Station on Line 5.
  • Final Walk: The hotel is approximately a 3-minute walk from the station exit.

Estimated travel time: Approximately 2 to 3 hours

Tip: It is highly recommended to book your train tickets in advance via the 12306 app or website, as high-speed trains between Beijing and Tianjin are popular and can sell out during peak hours.

Use the Airport Shuttle Bus
Step 1: Beijing Daxing Airport to Tianjin

The intercity bus from Daxing Airport to Tianjin drops passengers off at a major transport hub, typically Tianjin Railway Station or Tianjin West Station.

  • Bus Station Location: West side of the 1st Floor, Terminal Building (follow signs for “Intercity Bus”).
  • Departure Times: Buses generally run between 09:00 and 23:00.
  • Ticket Price: Approximately ¥75 – ¥85.
  • Duration: About 2.5 to 3 hours depending on traffic.
  • Buying Tickets: Tickets can be purchased at the bus ticket counter on the 1st floor or via WeChat mini-programs (search for “Daxing Airport”).
Step 2: Transfer to the Hotel

Once you arrive at the bus drop-off point in Tianjin, the easiest way to reach the hotel is by taxi or metro.

Option A: Taxi (Easiest)

From the bus drop-off point, take a taxi directly to the hotel.

  • Address in Chinese: 万丽天津宾馆 (河西区宾水道16号)
  • Distance: Approximately 8–10 km.
  • Cost: Around ¥25 – ¥35.
  • Time: 15–20 minutes.

Option B: Metro (Cheapest)

If the bus drops you at Tianjin Railway Station:

  • Take Metro Line 3 (towards Nanzhan).
  • Transfer at Yingkoudao Station to Line 1 (towards Donghai Road).
  • Transfer at Xi’nanyuan Station to Line 5 (towards Liqizhuang Nan).
  • Get off at Tianjinbinguan (Tianjin Hotel) Station. The hotel is a 3-minute walk from the station.

Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK)

Located about 135km west-north of the city conference venue. Offers both domestic and international flights and serves as an important aviation hub in northern China. Is well connected to the city via metro, airport shuttle buses, and taxis.

Use the Railway + Metro (Subway)
Step 1: Airport to Beijing South Station (Metro)

The journey begins with the Beijing Subway system to reach the main high-speed rail hub for Tianjin-bound trains.

  • Capital Airport Express: From the airport terminals (T2 or T3), take the Airport Express train to Dongzhimen Station.
  • Transfer to Line 2: At Dongzhimen, transfer to Metro Line 2 (Loop Line).
  • Transfer at Xuanwumen: Ride Line 2 to Xuanwumen Station, then transfer to Line 4.
  • Arrival at Beijing South: Take Line 4 directly to Beijing South Railway Station.
  • Total Time: Approximately 60–70 minutes.
Step 2: High-Speed Train to Tianjin

Beijing South is the primary terminal for the frequent “C” class intercity high-speed trains to Tianjin.

  • Boarding: Look for trains bound for Tianjin Railway Station (Tianjinzhan). These depart every 10–15 minutes.
  • Duration: The high-speed journey takes about 30 minutes.
  • Booking: It is highly recommended to use the 12306 app or website to book in advance, though tickets can often be purchased at the station ticket office for immediate departure.
Step 3: Tianjin Station to the Hotel (Metro)

Upon arrival in Tianjin, the local metro provides a quick final link to the hotel.

  • Metro Line 3: From Tianjin Railway Station, take Line 3 (towards Nanzhan/South Station).
  • Transfer at Yingkoudao: Get off at Yingkoudao and transfer to Line 1 (towards Donghai Road).
  • Transfer at Xi’nanyuan: Get off at Xi’nanyuan and transfer to Line 5 (towards Liqizhuang Nan).
  • Arrival: Exit at Tianjinbinguan (Tianjin Hotel) Station.
  • Final Walk: The hotel is roughly a 3-minute walk from the station exit.

Total Travel Time: Approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

Estimated Cost: ~¥30 for Beijing Metro/Express + ~¥55 for High-Speed Rail + ~¥4 for Tianjin Metro.

Tips: If you have heavy luggage, consider taking a taxi directly from Tianjin Railway Station to the hotel; it takes about 20 minutes and costs roughly ¥25.

Use the Airport Shuttle Bus
Step 1: Intercity Bus from Beijing Capital Airport to Tianjin

You can board a direct intercity bus that travels from the airport terminals to downtown Tianjin.

  • Bus Ticket Counters: Located at Terminal 2 (Gate 11, 1st Floor) and Terminal 3 (Gate 1, 1st Floor).
  • Drop-off Points: The bus typically stops at major hubs such as Tianjin West Station or the Tianjin Binhai Terminal (Nanjing Road).
  • Duration: The journey usually takes between 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic.
  • Cost: Approximately ¥80 to ¥100.
Step 2: Final Leg to the Hotel

Since the intercity bus does not stop directly at the hotel, you will need to complete the last part of your journey from the bus drop-off point.

  • From Tianjin West Station: You can take Metro Line 6 and transfer to Line 5, getting off at Tianjinbinguan (Tianjin Hotel) Station, which is a short walk from the hotel.
  • Taxi Option: Taking a taxi from the drop-off point is highly recommended if you have luggage. A taxi from most central drop-off points in Tianjin to the Renaissance Tianjin Lakeview Hotel will take about 15–20 minutes and cost roughly ¥20–¥30.
Important Travel Tips
  • Availability: Shuttle schedules can change. It is best to check the latest departure times at the airport bus ticket counter upon arrival.
  • Traffic: Expressway traffic between Beijing and Tianjin can be heavy during peak hours (morning and evening commute), which may extend travel time.
  • Language: Keep the hotel’s name and address written in Chinese (万丽天津宾馆 – 河西区宾水道16号) to show to taxi drivers or staff if needed.
